I am currently taking a good break from work, study and everything else. The irony in life is that when you are at your busiest, you crave for a break and yet when you get to take a break while everyone else is busy working, you can’t wait to be busy again as you loathe the sense of emptiness.
What is essential in life is finding a purpose as this purpose is what keeps one going throughout his/her life. That leads me to wonder, what is everyone’s purpose in life? Of course, that purpose differs for every individual and may change with age. A typical student’s purpose in life may be satisfying his/her parents by passing the examinations with flying colours. An athlete’s purpose in life may be creating new personal best in every competition. A 9-5 white collar working adult’s purpose in life may be to stay on the job to feed his family. Perhaps, some people may not even have a purpose in life throughout their entire lifespan which could be why people dread their work.
Having said that, I too, have not found my purpose in life yet. As a fresh graduate, unlike many of my peers, I chose not to enter the rat race, searching for any jobs as long as it is a 5 day week with rewarding remuneration. After completing a arduous project that I am still not convinced is a job well-done, I decided to take a good long break to reflect upon my purpose in life. I do have dreams, but sometimes I wonder if my dreams are worth pursuing.
To be an entrepreneur.. do I have what it takes? Little knowledge in sales and marketing, I know nuts about finances and most importantly, I do not have a feasible business idea.Is this a dream that I really wanna fulfill or is it just a back-up plan that could make the most money in the fastest way other than following the mainstream, working my way slowly up the corporate world.
What is your purpose in life..?

I wish i have a garage. where i can be a mad inventor, taking machines apart, breaking them down to the smallest decimal, then make something totally splendid out of them.
In one corner, i will have an aerospace show where RC choppers hover and spy planes glide. In another corner, energy is generated from anything possible, be it lemons, waste oil, solid waste, solar light, wind, hamsters on running mill, whatever.
Another little area will be the territory of weird gadgets, from dust-eating robo-lizards to semi-automatic trebuchet to urban grange indoor veggie growers.
My self-driving limousine will be sitting in the center, while the ultra-portable bicycle-segway hybrid leans lightly against the wall. Everything is barely sane.
Muahaha. Welcome to my madness.

San Diego, Calif., has one very high-profile player in the algae game — Sapphire Energy, which counts Bill Gates and the Rockefeller family among its backers and has the ambitious goal of producing a million gallons of algae-based diesel and jet fuel per year by 2011. But does the San Diego region have what it takes to become the Silicon Valley of algae innovation?

New Center Aims to Bring About Algae-Powered Green Revolution
Drive though the Imperial Valley and you will see thousands of acres of land lying fallow, desolate and windswept. But in the eyes of many San Diego scientists and entrepreneurs, these lands hold the promise of a new green revolution, powered by biofuels made from algae, to be grown on this barren soil. To reach that goal, scientists from UC San Diego, The Scripps Research Institute and other local research institutions and companies announced last week the creation of the San Diego Center for Algae Biotechnology, or “SD-CAB.”
